**Step 1:**As we know, a whole of something is equal to 100%. In this case, we want to find what 1% of 715 is. We know that 100% of 715 is, well, just 715.**Step 2:**If 100% of 715 is 715, then we can get 1% of 715 by dividing it by 100. Let's do 715 / 100. This is equal to 7.15. Now we know that 1% is 7.15.**Step 3:**Now that we know what 1% of 715 is, we just need to multiply it by 1 to get our solution! 7.15 times 1 = 7.15. That's all there is to it!
