Seaside got a lot of attention during ESUG in Lugano. Several commercial Smalltalk vendors announced their support:
- GemStone presented some more details about their GLASS (GemStone, Linux, Apache, Seaside, and Smalltalk) initiative (slides).
- Cincom officially announced their support of Seaside in combination with GLORP, an object-relational persistence layer for Smalltalk (slides).
- Instantiations announced that Seaside 2.8 will be part of their next release of VisualAge Smalltalk (slides).
My presentation on Seaside went well: I presented past, present and future of Seaside development. I also announced that Seaside 2.8 is going beta.
